Congratulations are in order for Zendaya and Tom Holland.
The Challengers star and Spiderman actor are engaged, according to People. The confirmation comes after Zendaya attended the Golden Globes wearing a burnt orange Louis Vuitton gown and a large diamond ring on her finger—prompting speculation that Holland had proposed.
Paparazzi first captured the couple together in 2021, five years after they acted alongside each other in Spiderman: Homecoming. “We were both very, very young, but my career was already kind of going, and his changed overnight. One day you’re a kid and you’re at the pub with your friends, and then the next day you’re Spider-Man,” Zendaya told Vogue of Holland’s star turn as the Marvel superhero. “I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him. But he handled it really beautifully.”
Since then, they’ve kept a relatively low profile, rarely attending public events together and often walking the red carpet solo. (“It’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” Holland said of his decision not to pose for photos at Zendaya’s movie premieres.) However, they aren’t shying away from sharing the screen: both actors will appear in the highly-anticipated Christopher Nolan adaptation of The Odyssey. Also starring Matt Damon and Anne Hathaway, the prestige movie is expected to hit theaters in 2026.
Together, they share two dogs named Noon and Daphne.
