There are some questions so confounding that generation after generation has pored over the answers—from “What’s in the Bermuda Triangle?” to “What is the meaning of life?” to, of course, “What is Travis Kelce‘s favorite Taylor Swift album?” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is usually fairly tight-lipped about his relationship with the 14-time Grammy winner (fair enough, given that everyone is constantly bothering him about whether he’s going to propose at the Super Bowl), but at a press conference in New Orleans on Monday, Kelce finally shared his Taylor Swift album of choice: The Tortured Poets Department.
In case you were worried that Kelce isn’t Swiftie-literate enough to play favorites, worry not. When asked about his favorite songs on TPPD, he responded, “Maybe ‘So High School,’ ‘The Alchemy.’ I don’t know. There’s a few on there that are bangers.” God, I love sports bros! (Okay, historically I have not always loved sports bros, but Kelce seems sweet—what can I say?) Obviously, Kelce didn’t answer reporters’ questions about when Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is going to drop—“I can neither confirm nor deny this,” he said, like the good media-trained boyfriend that he is—but it is fun to imagine him rocking out to “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys.”
While I’m hesitant to hand praise to men for doing the bare minimum (you should be into your partner’s work, especially if their work is being the most famous pop star alive!), I still find it very sweet that Kelce is such an obvious Swiftie. I mean, Taylor’s been spending her weekends on freezing football fields for months, so it seems only fair, right?
