Book your Pilates class and fill up your water bottle—after successful collaborations with New Balance and Keds, LA-based fashion brand Staud is back with a more permanent venture in the sportswear space: Staud Sport. On January 30th, the brand will unveil its vision for sportswear and athleisure with a 65-piece collection that will range from $75 to $395—and with Vogue First, Vogue Shopping readers get exclusive access to shop the collaboration before anyone else!
“We’ve created a collection that delivers on comfort and performance without compromising style,” said Sarah Staudinger, CEO and creative director of Staud tells Vogue. “These aren’t just clothes for sport—they’re clothes for life because we believe life is sport.”
Designed for the modern woman who balances personal style with functionality, Staud Sport puts the focus on versatility—each piece is capable of being layered with others from the wider Staud collection, or incorporated alongside staples in your own closet. “I see a gap for versatile, chic sportswear that isn’t confined to just ‘working out’, but fits seamlessly into everyday life. I want the foundation of my closet to be filled with pieces that contribute to both comfort and balance for anything my day might bring—from working at the office, to impromptu pickleball games, or walking around with friends to a heated Pilates class,” Staudinger explains of the brand’s newest chapter.
What does that entail? Everything, from chic anoraks with detachable sleeves to oversized scrunchies that double as mini bags and packable neoprene ballet flats you can swap out for easy dressing. There’s even a performance dress that can carry you from tennis court to tapas reservation.
Staudinger’s favorite pieces range from the Gino Glide flats, designed for all things active (but that are also stylish), to the Peak Anorak jacket that can shift from full-length to a cropped silhouette, and the large scrunchie that features a hidden pocket to store your keys, AirPod, lip butter, or debit card. When she needs to lug more, she reaches for the Tyler Sport sling backpack, which is in a sleek ’90s shape that can be carried by its side handle. Each piece is crafted with her innate approach to everyday movement and well-being in mind. “I see my life as a sport—gardening, pottery, cross-training, traveling—and believe every active move I make is intrinsic to my approach to wellness and health. That’s why I’m so passionate about this new category for us.”
