Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Long-Awaited Makeup Brush Collection Is Here

I press her—surely Beckham, who’s spent hours (if not days) of her life sitting in the most esteemed of makeup artists’ chairs, has sampled every brush on the market. What is it that she felt was missing? “My focus is always on the ‘why’ and the brushes that have made it into this collection have earned their place and right to be there. They’re inspired by calligraphy pens,” she says, noting the precision and consideration that goes into the creation of each of the nine brushes in the collection. And they really are precise. The majority are single-ended, created to buff, dust, and disperse. Two are double-ended—and when I ask Victoria to pick her favorite, it’s one of these she points to. “I do love the Sculpt & Blend, because there’s so much you can do with it. I use it for my contour but also my eyes.”

Famously meticulous, if the brushes weren’t absolutely perfect in Beckham’s view, she would have cancelled them. She pulled the plug on the original Contour Stylus due to it not being the exact, thin, precise tool she had envisioned. In fact, it was originally housed in the component the Cheeky Posh Blush lives in. “I called them and said, ‘Listen, I’m so sorry and I know no one’s going to be happy to hear this but we have to stop.’ I’m quite hard to satisfy,” she confirms. “I’m a perfectionist and I’m hard to please—which I think is a good thing. Because, when I’m happy, it means that we’re ready to release it.”
