Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard have Paris on the brain. In 2025, the sister-in-law duo behind Veronica Beard is aiming to add eight more retail spaces to their existing roster of 39 stores. Paris is the apple of their eye. It’s no wonder, then, that the French capital informed their fall 2025 collection, “Left Bank.” Tailoring and outerwear took top priority this season. “Layering, no bulk,” Miele Beard said. “It’s always been one of our trademarks.” For the Veronicas, nailing outerwear was of the utmost importance. “It’s the first piece [people see] when you walk into a room,” Swanson Beard said. Caroline de Maigret, Vanessa Paradis, and Camille Rowe were all on the mood board. French labels also seemed to inspire: a navy tweed skirt suit with contrast blanket stitching was reminiscent of Chanel and a color-blocked belted bag felt like a louder answer to Hermès’s Kelly and Birkin.
Still, Veronica Beard’s DNA was all over the collection. Hooded dickies attached to coats and blazers, and the boho craze carried over from last season in the form of paisley prints, flowing dresses, and clogs festooned with cabochons. “Our customer loves novelty,” Miele Beard said. And indeed, the Veronicas are jumping on the latest trends with aplomb. Their bags were decorated with bag charms; skirts, trousers, and accessories were fabricated in suede; oxblood dotted the collection. But one frontier they’re wading into on the earlier side is skinny jeans. (While they’ve been declared “back,” they are certainly not in public favor.) “Everything comes back around,” Swanson Beard said. “They never left for me!” Miele Beard added. While the jury’s still out on a skinny jeans revival, it was exciting to see Veronica Beard taking risks.
