Timothée Chalamet Talks Designing His Own Merch—For 100 Lucky Fans

Thanks to his commanding turn as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, Timothée Chalamet is now a 2025 best actor Oscar nominee—and his press tour style for the film over the past few weeks has been equally award-worthy. The star has rocked Chanel, rode a lime e-bike in a slick suit, and sported a thematic A Complete Unknown hoodie, which he wore during a recent visit to the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. (Dylan himself attended one semester at the school.) In the case of the hoodie, Chalamet designed it himself, as part of an exclusive collaboration with the Los Angeles-based brand Nahmias, releasing today.

The black and white hoodie, which retails for $195, was designed specifically for Chalamet’s press tour, and is limited-edition: There are only 100 pieces available worldwide (that will likely sell out quickly). Chalamet worked with designer Doni Nahmias on the cozy piece, collaborating to find an aesthetic and silhouette that would reflect the star’s effortless personal style. “The collaboration with Doni came about naturally,” Chalamet tells Vogue. “It began with an appreciation for the comfort of his hoodies, and evolved into a friendship over the past year. Thanks to Doni’s passion and the discipline of his studio, we were able to bring the black hoodie to life quickly.”

Rather than leaning into on-the-nose method dressing with a deliberately 1960s Bob Dylan look, the duo landed on a hoodie design that is more clean, minimal, and contemporary—and clearly speaks for itself, thanks to the bold logo work. “Timothée is a fashion-forward guy who constantly pushes boundaries and defines his own lane,” says Nahmias of the end result. “The collaboration process was fun and seamless. Timothée has great taste and came to the table with clear ideas and strong opinions about what he wanted. We worked back and forth to refine the pieces, making sure every detail was just right, and we were both stoked with the final outcome.”
