It hasn’t even been 24 hours since Timothée Chalamet rode a Lime bicycle onto the red carpet in London, but the actor has already moved on.
Today, Chalamet embraced his trademark laidback style for the Paris premiere of A Complete Unknown (or, as the French call it Un Parfait Inconnu). Over a white T-shirt and black jeans that tucked into a pair of black lace-up combat boots, the actor wore a black leather jacket embellished with large silver buttons. But his accessories were what really stole the show: a pink and purple tie-dye baseball cap and a coordinating pink scarf interwoven with gold thread and beaded tassels. Of course, no look is complete for this Cartier ambassador without some serious bling. The jewels du jour? A massive diamond tennis necklace.
Chalamet’s style—spanning Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford to Martine Rose—is nothing short of modern. But his co-star, Monica Barbaro, has embraced the complete opposite: Old Hollywood glamour. The actor, who stars as Joan Baez in the Bob Dylan biopic, looked as though she invented the color beige in her Paris premiere outfit: a simple beige gown coated in a layer of tulle, which wrapped around one shoulder to create a sleeve. Barbaro has put the timeless look to work. At the Golden Globes she wore a custom blush Dior dress covered in microbeads. And at the London premiere last night, she opted for a black hooded Schiaparelli number.
When it comes to their premiere styles, you could say that Timothée Chalamet and Monica Barbaro are like diamonds and rust.
