This weekend at J.Crew is the Wear to Work event so my jacket is included in this sale! It’s $50 off so that’s exciting. I am in the 10 and I like this size because I’m able to layer underneath as well. You can find it on sale here!
Okay listen up — these pants aren’t low rise. I know, I know they say they are but they aren’t. Which is making me internally giggle because I have a pair of Abercrombie that also say they are low rise and they are, by of the standards set in 1999, not. Which makes me think that there is some conspiracy of Gen X and Millennial denim designers who are doing us all a favor by saying “it’s low rise!’ but really its just a mid rise denim. To those people I say, not all heroes wear capes and not all women can wear low rise jeans. I am that woman. Historically, low rise denim and I do not get along. They hurt my feelings, I hurt theirs. It’s just best we stay away. But this pair of ‘low rise’ jeans and their 9.5″ rise, they can stay because we are getting along fabulously. Now a 4-5” rise can GTFO and go tell my high school boyfriend hi…and I hope he is doing well. No hard feelings.
I am in the 30 of this fine pair of trousers but they’re a bit generously fitted all over. Now I am kinda on the cusp of wearing 29s again so this makes sense to me. If you are in between sizes and you trust me, I’d go with the smaller size on this one. They stretched with wear as well.
