The Inkey List Is On Sale At Sephora & This Is What A Beauty Editor Would Buy

ICYMI, Sephora’s Savings Event sale is back — and at Refinery29, we’ve been planning our spring haul for weeks. Depending on your Beauty Insider status, you can get up to 20% off during the sale period, which starts on April 5 for Rouge, and April 9 for all other shoppers. One brand that deserves an extra-special shoutout is none other than The INKEY List, the UK-based skincare brand committed to effective formulas at a democratized price point. (Fun fact: The name is a clever hint to the ‘International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients’ or INCI List – aka, the extensive, hard-to-decipher label that tells you what’s inside your skincare products.)

The INKEY List is among Sephora’s most-beloved brands (the reviews and Loves speak for themselves!) and known for its already-affordable products, ranging in price from $10 ($7 for select minis) to $25. However, if you’re all about stretching your coin, Sephora’s spring sale is the perfect time to stock up on your favorite INKEY products — or heck, try something new. Keep clicking to peruse the beauty editor-approved lotions and potions we’re snagging at a discount.

At Refinery29, we’re here to help you navigate this overwhelming world of stuff. All of our market picks are independently selected and curated by the editorial team. All product details reflect the price and availability at the time of publication. If you buy or click on something we link to on our site, Refinery29 may earn commission.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hydrating Face Serum

A hyaluronic acid serum is a staple in many skincare routines, but not all are created equal. Sephora reviewers adore The INKEY List’s version for its non-tacky texture, long-lasting hydration, and affordability. (To stretch the savings further, you can shop a jumbo 3.4-ounce size for $25, before any discounts.) “Usually, I can take or leave hyaluronic acid serums, but I recently started using this on my parched, flaky lips after washing my face, and I’ve noticed a vast improvement,” Jacqueline Kilikita, Refinery29’s Deputy Beauty Director says. “My lips are smoother and more plump, and there’s far less dry skin to pick (a bad habit, I know).”

Oat Cleansing Balm

This nourishing, makeup-melting balm ticks all the boxes: Formidable against waterproof mascara, non-greasy, and gentle enough for sensitive skin. ”This feels a lot like Elemis’ Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm at a snip of the price and without any fragrance — perfect for those with sensitive or reactive skin,” Kilikita says. “Often, I feel as though I don’t need to go in with a double cleanse, because it removes everything so well. (Including the various layers of sunscreen I wear on a daily basis.)”

Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing and Plumping Moisturizer + Barrier Strengthening

Our Deputy Beauty Director had nothing but glowing reviews (and the skin to show for it), calling this moisturizer a “cult classic” in the making. Plus, she swears this $20 formula beat a $110 competitor, proving that high-quality skincare can be found at any price point.

Caffeine De-puffing + Dark Circle Eye Cream

“I’m not usually a fan of eye creams, as I believe that your moisturizer does just as great a job, but in the summer, when I wake up puffy, and my allergies are intense, this is highly effective,” says Kilikita. “The addition of peptide Matrixyl 3000 (essentially a skin-strengthening protein) works like an eraser on fine lines caused by dryness. It really is amazing to see.” In addition to perking up tired eyes, this caffeine-infused eye cream serves as the perfect brightening base for concealer. In other words, it’s as close as it gets to eight hours of sleep in a tube.

Omega Water Cream Oil-Free Moisturizer + Niacinamide

Combo and oily cuties, assemble: This niacinamide-infused gel-cream offers non-greasy hydration and a dewy finish that leaves skin looking healthy and radiant. (Think of it as a moisturizer masquerading as a hydrating makeup primer.) It also has ceramides, which my acne-prone skin positively loves to help stay hydrated and balanced.

Polyglutamic Acid Dewy Sunscreen SPF 30

Fact: You can never have too much sunscreen, and stocking up on it while it’s on sale is always a “yes” from us. “This is proof that you don’t have to spend a small fortune on an effective SPF,” says Kilikita. “It absorbs quickly and makes my skin glow in all the right places. It sits beautifully under makeup, too.” If you’re done with drying, chalky finishes from your sunscreen, say hello to this hydrating SPF made with polyglutamic acid (a powerhouse ingredient that retains four times more moisture than HA) and squalane to lock in moisture for round-the-clock skin hydration.
