As a beauty editor, I’ve been burned (pun intended) by bad sunscreens more times than I can count. I’m talking about pilling, smudging, chalky texture, greasy residue, ghostly white cast… the list goes on. While I have editor-approved sunscreens I keep close at hand, I’m excited to get into new (or new-ish) formulas that do double, even triple duty. Some incorporate self-tanner so you can look sunkissed without sun damage. Others reduce redness, smooth texture, or provide serum-grade active ingredients. While there are multiple products to choose from, and each is good in its own right, Who What Wear’s beauty team holds Ultra Violette’s Future Screen in high regard. The mineral, zinc-based formula offers SPF 50, and the light, serum-like texture sinks into the skin without any white cast or residue. It’s pretty much the perfect daily sunscreen.

It’s also sweat and water-resistant for up to 80 minutes and contains multiple good-for-skin ingredients. There’s hyaluronic acid and squalane for hydration, peptides and ceramides to strengthen the skin barrier, cactus flower to support a clear complexion, and cica to soothe redness and inflammation. Did I mention it can double as a makeup primer? Yeah, it’s the ultimate multitasking SPF.
