By our estimation 24 rose to the top, landing on Vogue‘s best dressed of the year list.

Forget following trends or playing it safe: these forward-thinking fashion plates navigated the step and repeat with a unique point-of-view. Whether it was those who favored avant-garde silhouettes (see: FKA twigs and Yseult, two lovers of sculptural designs) or gravitated more towards quiet minimalism, à la Pamela Anderson in elegant, stealth-wealth looks while promoting The Last Showgirl, it was a year that truly had it all.
Hollywood’s leading men, meanwhile, stepped it up this year, too.
