Is it finally time for Reputation (Taylor’s Version)? Taylor Swift hit the 2024 MTV VMAs red carpet at the UBS Center in New York wearing an outfit that makes us think Swift’s next era may be soon upon us.
The singer—who leads the night with an impressive 12 nominations—marked the moment with look 32 from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s 2025 resort collection for Christian Dior. The yellowy-green and black tartan dress features a zip-up corset top and a sweeping train over black shorts.

Taylor Swift’s Reputation era is associated with the colors green and black, and generally edgier fashion choices. While the color of the dress is up for debate (some in the Vogue Slack channel were firmly team yellow, while others argued for green), her accessories were definitely Reputation-coded. Swift wore a pair of thigh-high black leather Stuart Weitzman boots, strappy black leather gloves, and a matching plaid choker, along with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Later on in the night, Swift changed into an asymmetrical beaded dress depicting a UFO hovering over a landscape, which she wore to accept the final award of the night, Video of the Year. While there was no Reputation (TV) announcement, Swift—who just yesterday endorsed Kamala Harris for president—used her acceptance speech to encourage voter registration.
