If you’re anything like this editor, you probably look forward to fashion month for the new collections debuting on the runways as well as the street style looks that are photographed outside of the shows. I find both equally inspiring, but the outfits fashion-industry veterans are wearing always have a big impact on how I’m getting dressed and the new-season items I add to my wardrobe. With fashion month upon us, I was curious to get a preview of the pieces and trends Who What Wear editors will be wearing this season.

Ahead, WWW fashion editors are sharing a sneak peek at the cool brands, 2025 trends, and exact pieces they are planning to wear everywhere from New York to London to attend the shows for the spring/summer 2025 collection. Headed into 2025, I’m feeling a new wave of inspiration, which is shaping how I want to get dressed for fashion week and beyond—in part from the spring 2025 runways that ushered back personal style, soft romance, and dialed-up elegance. I’ve also been revisiting images from my Pinterest mood board: 2000s runway images from Ralph Lauren, Celine, and Balenciaga; outfits from early street style days accessorized with faux-fur stoles; a 2011 photo of Ashley Olsen in a pencil skirt and Manolo slingbacks; and Grace Kelly wearing a skirt suit and pumps on a Hollywood lot in 1956 the last day before leaving for her wedding in Monaco. Overall, it’s not a departure from what I typically wear but is pointing me toward fresh styling ideas, colors, and silhouettes I plan to integrate into my existing wardrobe for fashion week and beyond. This season, I know I’ll be wearing monochrome camel colorways, great outerwear, and outfit-finishing accessories.

“For me, February fashion week in New York is really all about the coat. Both out of convenience and warmth, my go-to look is usually a big, statement coat, Uniqlo Heattech underneath, styled with whichever my favorite shoes and bags happen to be in that moment. It’s worked for me year after year, and you know what they say: If it ain’t broke…”

“I’ve now dressed for close to 20 fashion months during my time as a fashion editor, and from them all, I’ve learned a thing or two. The greatest lesson? To not stray too far from the things I normally love to wear just because it’s fashion month. Doing so always leads to stress and discomfort, which is why I often try to borrow or buy as little as possible and really stick to pieces in my closet. For February fashion week, it’s always chilly, so staying warm is priority number one, which is why I’ll be leaning into my more cold weather–appropriate items, like sporty jackets, long coats, leggings, boots, and big sweaters. I love the idea of styling stirrup leggings with court shoes and a drawstring leather jacket or of-the-moment cape coat. I did recently acquire a camel-hair set from Lafayette 148 that’s both warm and incredibly elegant. I plan on styling it with a pair of Ferragamo patent-leather stiletto boots I found a few weeks ago on The RealReal to create a bit of contrast. Lastly, I wear sunglasses everywhere I go, especially during fashion month when I’m often tired and busy. I’m obsessed with Khaite’s Oliver Peoples all-black, wire-rim pair because it has no gold or silver hardware, so I can style it easily with both types.”

“Fashion week is always such a fun time to test out some of the emerging trends that have newly been on my radar, and this season there are already so many ideas swirling around in my mind. Just to name a few: funnel-neck outerwear, pony-hair finishes, zebra print, and oversize sunglasses are some of the themes that I’ve been most excited to try my hand at, and I’m plotting how to incorporate each one in an intentional way. I love the idea of wearing a funnel-neck leather jacket—Eaves and Helsa are two brands with excellent jacket options I’m currently weighing—zipped all the way to the top with oversize pilot sunglasses, a styling combination I’m lifting straight from Phoebe Philo’s lookbooks. In fact, I always look to the runways and recent collections for inspiration, and this season I’ve been adding a lot of Saint Laurent and Alaïa images to my deck, too. Yes, that’s right, I like to create an actual PowerPoint presentation to map out my inspiration, shopping picks, and outfit combinations ahead of the shows so that I’m hyper-organized with any pre-NYFW purchases and call-ins. It’s nerdy, I know, but has been a fun way to get myself and my fellow editors excited for what we’re all wearing since a lot of us have taken to making and sharing our slides with one another. As for the pieces I’m actually buying to get this overall vibe? I have my eye on a few leather pencil skirts on The RealReal I might have to pull the trigger on, a gorgeous pair of zebra-printed pony-hair slingbacks that J.Crew just dropped, and a pair of Moncler pilot sunglasses I just brought back from a brand trip with them.”
