2025 is taking a new lease on the “clean girl” trend, this time a bit more literally: Enter soap nails. Descibed by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik as “the cleanest, freshest manicure that looks like it’s straight out of a spa day,” the look was spotted on two it-girls and nail-fulencers this week, Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner.
Gomez’s soap nails are a continuation of the soft manicures she’s been sporting since her engagement to Benny Blanco, the barely there, pale-pink color is something that goes with any winter outfit imaginable.

Gomez’s nails are tapered ever so slightly into a perfect almond shape and stay true to her usual mid-length length. Not too much for everyday wear, but just enough to add an elongated feminine touch. Bachik used Apres gel in the shade Spring Sigh to create this soft, classic look.

Jenner endorsed the soap nail trend while on a trip to support her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Both LA girls have been following a simple, squeaky-clean beauty formula—adding a little extra sparkle with jewelery that ties the entire look together. As we look ahead to spring, we can’t wait to take the soap girl manicure for a spin.
