Following a major snowstorm earlier this month, ski season kicked off early in Aspen this year and provided a picture-perfect winter wonderland backdrop for the seasonal Max Mara pop-up at Hotel Jerome—now in its third year—and celebratory dinner hosted by Tina Craig.
Along with a handful of Aspen locals, guests had flown in from New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas to attend the annual cocktail party inside the brand’s pop-up on Wednesday, where they stocked up on the brand’s cozy Teddy Bear Coats. Then, on Thursday night, guests including Riley Keough, Kathy Hilton and Nicky Hilton, Abigail Spencer, Tina Leung, Jamie Mizrahi, and Charlotte Groeneveld gathered at the Caribou Club (Aspen’s buzzy members-only spot) for a decadent dinner.
The evening kicked off with cocktails by the fire and a fondue station before the crowd took their seats at a table that had been lushly scaped with pomegranates, grapes, pears, and berries to create a festive atmosphere.
Before a meal of poached pear salad, sea bass Viennoise, iron-seared New York strip steak, and bomboloncini, Craig raised a glass to the assembled guests. “This dinner has become one of my favorite traditions,” she said. “This year, we moved in off the mountain and into town so we could keep the party going.”
And, as dessert was cleared away, so were tables and chairs, transforming the space back into a nightclub that kept the party going late into the night.
