The PhotoVogue Festival, the first conscious fashion photography festival that focuses on the common ground between ethics and aesthetics, returns for its eighth edition. From March 6th to 9th, 2025, BASE Milano will host a series of exhibitions and talks analysing the interrelation between humans and Nature, and the relations of kinship we can create with animals, complemented by satellite events at the city’s finest galleries.
“The Ghost Rainforest” by Earthrise Studio is part of The Tree of Change, a series of slideshows, videos, and contributions from organisations dedicated to environmental advocacy. Synopsis
Earthrise Studio proudly presents The Ghost Rainforest, a powerful short film following Narubia Werreria and five Indigenous leaders from the Amazon as they journey to Scotland’s last remaining temperate rainforest during COP26. With only 30,000 hectares of this rare habitat left, The Ghost Rainforest tells the emotional story of their connection to this endangered ecosystem and the parallels to their own struggles in the Amazon.
Directed by John Davies, produced Viv Cumming, and Exec Produced by Alice Aedy, this film was made possible by The Alliance for Scotland’s Rainforest, Association Jiboiana, and Raleigh International. The Ghost Rainforest is an Earthrise Originals.
