At the end of last year, Vogue Runway compiled a list of the most important fashion moments from the year 2000 to the present day. As part of the 21st century time machine project we asked ourselves what would a list of the most memorable runway shows of the last 25 years look like? So we took to the Vogue App where we let our readers vote for their favorite shows. On Tuesday’s episode of the podcast, Nicole Phelps, along with Vogue editors Virginia Smith, Mark Guiducci, and Laird Borrelli-Persson, came together to discuss readers’ selections.
Except after looking through their list, which included such legendary shows as the the Marc Jacobs show for Louis Vuitton when he introduced Stephen Sprouse’s graffiti tagged bags and that time Karl Lagerfeld built a Chanel supermarket for the maison’s fall 2014 collection, the editors noticed a few important designers were missing. On this special episode, they once again come together to discuss the runway shows and designers they think should’ve been on the list.
