In the heart of Noho, luxury retailer Mytheresa hosted an intimate cocktail party at New York hotspot Temple Bar last night to celebrate the start of New York Fashion Week. After all, fashion partygoers, editors, and designers could use a good drink when running around from different shows in the snow.
Guests weaved through the dimly lit, narrow (yet terribly chic) bar‚ taking their pick from the many signature cocktails at the ready, with flashing cameras briefly lighting up the space like a small flash of lightning. Meanwhile, between quick catch-ups with friends, attendees enjoyed a live DJ set by Gilly Chan—a high-energy respite from the single-digit temperatures outside. Of course, there were delicious snacks and, even better, miniature versions of Temple bar favorites like their famous tomato grilled cheese, alongside tiny fries and sliders (of course, decked out in customized Mytheresa packaging. Designer burgers, anyone?).
Among the bustling crowd, notable partygoers spotted were Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Fernando Garcia, Laura Kim, Prabal Gurung, Athena Calderone, Charlotte Groenveld, and many more. As the fete came to a close, fashion’s cool kids jetted off to the next show—which for many was Christopher John Rogers back in Brooklyn—their social batteries recharged, with enough fuel to wherever the next party (or after-party) may take them.
