I’m finally resurfacing after moving! Whew, that took way more energy and time than I thought. 🙂
But here I am — new place, new era.
Ever since my marriage came to an unexpected and painful end a couple years ago, I’ve been living with family or staying with friends. This new place is the first place I’ve lived on my own — so, needless to say, this move felt emotionally significant.
I feel excited and hopeful. I also feel a little timid in my footing, and that’s okay too.
Big change requires relearning how to do things again, and relearning how to do things again requires vulnerability.
This plays out in big and small ways: Seasonal shift to autumn? How do I pair a sweater with pants again? Moving into my own place after divorce? How do I live on my own again?Â
It’s a take-it-one-day-at-a-time kind of thing, but I am making my way.
Not to mention, I am coming alive with design ideas for this space. It’s been a couple years since I’ve had my own space to pour myself into, and you know I am living for it! Last week, I went to a student art show and got some fun + inexpensive art pieces, including that fun red one you see in the video above (or try this link if the video isn’t working). I’m excited to show you more of the space as it comes together.
But for now, starting tomorrow, it’s back to outfits! I’m so excited! I’ve missed posting them.
