Among the varying ingenues on Alessandro Michele’s Valentino fall 2025 runway was the 16-year-old student Kai Schreiber–the youngest daughter of actors Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber–making her worldwide debut in a python knit minidress with a feathered collar of purple plumes. “That’s my baby!” Watts captioned an Instagram post. “I’m squealing with pride.” This mom’s efforts had begun to reap rewards: It was only last year that Watts took Schreiber as her plus-one to Dior’s pre-fall show in February, after which they enjoyed a joint trip to Balenciaga’s fall 2024 haute couture presentation the following June.
And what a launchpad that show proved to be. Nicole Kidman was joined on Demna’s front row by Sunday Rose Kidman Urban–the then 15-year-old daughter she shares with husband Keith–who less than six months later debuted on Miu Miu’s spring 2025 catwalk. Sunday Rose was later welcomed back as part of Miuccia’s fall 2025 cast, alongside Lisa Rinna’s 23-year-old Amelia Gray, Sting’s 34-year-old Eliot Sumner, and Jane Birkin’s 42-year-old Lou Doillon. Fair enough: pop culture gets very excited when the children of celebrities step into their parents’ shoes–but there will always be an unknown, sipping in the corner of a nightclub, destined for their own shot at fame.
