Meghan Markle is missing her husband, Prince Harry, on Valentine’s Day—and shared an intimate post on social media to prove it.
Today on Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex posted a photo of her and her husband kissing at what appears to be an outdoor restaurant. The picture isn’t from a current Valentine’s day out, however, as Prince Harry is in Vancouver for the Invictus Games—the sporting tournament he founded in 2014 for wounded veterans. (Markle accompanied her husband there for several events before heading back to their home in Montecito.)
“Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families. Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created,” Meghan wrote in the caption.
She continued with a line that could have been plucked straight from a Valentine’s card: “My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you.”
In the photo, she wears a simple silk tank top and her hair back in a ponytail. As she puts her hand up to Prince Harry’s face, the Cartier tank watch she is believed to have inherited from Princess Diana sits clearly on her wrist. (Markle has a particular affinity for the French luxury jewelry house: on her neck is the brand’s distinctive Juste un Clou necklace.)
The Duchess took a five-year hiatus from Instagram after leaving the royal family in 2020. However, on New Year’s Day, she announced her return to the internet with a black-and-white video of her drawing “2025” in the sand. Presumably, there’s even more content to come—Meghan Markle’s Netflix lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan, is set to premiere on March 4.
