In an era of high-glamour maternity style (think Hailey Bieber’s sheer Jacquemus peplum dress, or anything Rihanna wore during her pregnancies), Margot Robbie is returning to time-honored classics for the end of her pregnancy.
The actor and her husband Tom Ackerley enjoyed a babymoon in Sardinia, where Robbie was captured in a lowkey—and easily replicable—pregnancy ’fit. She showed off her bump in an outsized white button-up, which she left mostly open. Clasped only at her sternum, Robbie let her top catch the breeze and put her bump on full display. She paired her staple blouse with a pair of low-slung, flowing black drawstring pants.
Robbie leaned into the black-and-white colorscape with her accessories. She shielded herself from the sun with a pair of rectangular black sunglasses and a black woven bucket hat. The only discernible designer item was the Bottega Veneta bag she carried: a black intrecciato bag with gold hardware.
Post-Barbie, Robbie has leaned into neutrals, and her maternity style has proven no exception. On day 12 of Wimbledon, her first outing after announcing her pregnancy, she wore a white draped Alaïa dress laden with snap grommet closures for a customizable fit. The fresh-off-the-runway outfit was a more high-fashion take on maternity dressing than her flowy third-trimester look, but stayed within her preferred color palette.
