Looking Back at Sabrina Carpenter’s Red Carpet Evolution from Teeny Bopper to Bombshell

Sabrina Carpenter may only be 25-years-old, but she’s already an entertainment industry veteran. The now Grammy-winning singer got her start as a child actor, doing guest spots on Law & Order: SVU, Phineas and Ferb, and Orange Is the New Black before catching her big break with the Disney Channel show Girl Meets World in 2014. All that to say, she has a lot of red carpets under her belt.

Carpenter has consistently proven herself a bold dresser, even as a child. At the Keep A Child Alive 20th Annual Dream Halloween event, she added a steampunk twist to a lace camisole and jean shorts with a leather vest, shredded cardigan, and ripped lace tights. While she leans into her femininity, she has also embraced suiting, wearing pinstripes at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards and a metallic champagne suit with contrasting black lapels at the Tall Girl premiere in 2019.

The Short n’ Sweet singer really hit her sartorial stride in 2022, when she put forth her flirty femme style. At the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, she rocked a multicolored floral Moschino dress riddled with daring cutouts. That same year she made her Met Gala debut in a glimmering gold Rabanne two-piece with a sweeping train.

In 2023, Carpenter began working with her stylist Jared Ellner, who has outfitted her in body-skimming numbers, metallics, and pastels galore. Together they have fashioned Carpenter into a bona fide pop star, landing homages to Madonna and Marilyn Monroe, and walking her first Grammys red carpet in custom JW Anderson.

Below, take a look back at Sabrina Carpenter’s red carpet evolution, from 2012 ’til now.
