Lee Min-Ho’s Bag Has SPF, Lip Balm, and Candy Inside

“I don’t really use accessories that much,” Lee Min-Ho confides. “But when going somewhere, a pair of shades can dress it up a little … So I often do bring sunglasses [with me].” Herewith, the Pachinko star slips on his shades and divulges the other contents of his black leather bag.

First off, portable treats are a must. “I eat candy often,” the 37-year-old confides. Today, he gets his sweet fix from minty lemon Eclipse candies, then turns to a refreshingly scented matter. Spritzing from his bottle of Killian Paris’s Shield of Protection, Min-ho says: “This is the scent I like lately.”

From citrus-laced scents to sun protection, the South Korean actor shows off his Azarine sunscreen next. “I first started using this becoming [Azarine’s] brand ambassador,” he shares—and lo and behold, business became pleasure. “It’s really nice, so I always bring it with me,” he says of the SPF. For the rest of his skincare regime, the actor sticks to “the basics,” and lists toner and lotion as his other musts—though face mist is important, too. While dewing his complexion with a cloud of LBB Cellular mist, Min-ho says: “I always need this on the plane… Spraying face mist will make you feel refreshed and great.” Should his hands need refreshing, the talent keeps Thalac hand cream, well, handy—but he’s frankly far more interested in his iPad these days.

Taking out the device, Min-ho teases his latest creative endeavor. “I’ve started writing,” he says. “So lately, I always spend a lot of time on my iPad, wherever I go.” Half diary, half quick, jotted-down impressions of his day, Min-ho’s written venture has replaced another hobby he’s recently let go of. “I quit gaming,” he says with a laugh. “My fans already know this, but I loved gaming.” Luckily, he does not play around with his lips. Extracting Drunk Elephant’s protective balm from his bag, the star issues a winking reminder: “Your lips are precious.” And so is fresh breath.

Tucked among face masks, a backup phone battery, and AirPods is Min-ho’s mouthwash. “When I’m meeting with people and we’re having a conversation, I don’t want to potentially be rude,” he says, breath surely tinged with mint as he speaks. Should he crave something more chocolatey, the actor keeps Choco Pie with him—but the most comforting item in his bag has whiskers and a mane. Snapping a selfie with a stuffed lion keychain that he’s carried with him for 15 years, Min-ho explains: “This is an old character doll of mine. Sometimes I put him on a bag or keychain. My alter ego.” And a fluffy pal, who seems perfectly happy to share space with lemony candies, Parisian cologne, and a script or two.
