Forget black cherry—Kylie Jenner has ushered in spring’s hottest shade of nails: an orangey-red. Spotted on Instagram over the weekend while Jenner was out galavanting (a visit to Ulta Beauty to check out the Kylie Cosmetics offerings and spritz on perfume was in order), the long, almond-shaped nails were painted by her go-to nail artist Zola Ganzorigt.
“This manicure was for a future project,” Ganzorigt shares with Vogue. “We wanted a more vibrant spring red instead of a traditional, Christmas red, so we mixed colors to come up with this bright red.”
It took “one coat of OPI’s Rust and Relaxation and one coat of Big Apple Red,” she shares of the custom nail polish cocktail. Big Apple Red, a color inspired by New York City, is an iconic shade of the brand’s—and a favorite with celebrity nail artists across the globe.
While Jenner’s red-hot mani isn’t exactly red nail theory, the law of attraction can work in many ways. And this set is simply attracting good vibes.
