After Christopher John Rogers closed the first day of New York Fashion Week with his 8 p.m. time slot, models and attendees alike were surely pleased that today’s marquee show was called at a very reasonable 12 p.m.
The return of Calvin Klein Collection drew a starry crowd—including Kendall Jenner, who walked the runway for Veronica Leoni’s inaugural collection as the likes of Bad Bunny, Kate Moss, Christy Turlington Burns, and Klein himself looked on.
Then, post-show, Jenner swapped her runway suiting for a cozy-chic outfit featuring pieces from other titans in American fashion. Battling the chilly New York air, Jenner swaddled herself in a draped sage green cashmere top from The Row, which she wore over a midriff-baring white tee. On the bottom, she kept up her suiting in a pair of black trousers (cinched with a skinny black belt) and a pair of black loafers. Going incognito mode, she added a navy Ralph Lauren baseball cap and black rectangular shades to the mix.
With fashion week just kicking off (and fashion month on the horizon), we are constantly facing the challenge to look presentable while it’s frigid outside—and often losing that battle. But Kendall Jenner, in her effortless draped cashmere and lowkey baseball cap, is here to remind one and all that you can’t go wrong with high-low styling…or a cozy sweater.
