Jamie Mizrahi’s World | Who What Wear

Step into the universe of the coolest creatives in the fashion industry with our series My World, where readers will discover how the top stylists, designers, and tastemakers built their careers; their favorite under-the-radar restaurants and hotels, beloved deep-cut album, and fashion finds; the etiquette rules they stand by; and so much more.

In this day and age, there are few stylists with as prolific a client list as Jamie Mizrahi. She’s who Jennifer Lawrence, Adele, Jeremy Allen White, Riley Keough, Nicole Richie, and current Oscar-nominated It girl Mikey Madison (to name just a few) call whenever they need to look their best. Her clients always look comfortable and confident—and like themselves—in the looks Mizrahi curates for them, which is no small feat. But styling isn’t the only thing that keeps Mizrahi busy. She has multiple brand collaborations under her belt, she founded the cult-favorite intimates brand Kit Undergarments (which has since been acquired), and most recently, she designed a room with Crate & Kids.

After years of working a slew of various jobs in the fashion industry, including working at fashion houses, in events at Vogue, and editorial styling, Los Angeles–based Mizrahi found her way to styling. She said on Who What Wear’s podcast, “It wasn’t till I came out to L.A., [where] really the only aspect of styling that existed out here was celebrity. That’s kind of how I fell into it. It wasn’t the goal from the beginning.” And we’re so glad she did. Mizrahi is responsible for creating numerous incredibly memorable looks for her clients’ red carpets and events. There are too many highlights to name, but for starters, she commissioned dozens of black dresses for Adele’s Las Vegas residency, has flawlessly styled Mikey Madison for her exhaustive press tour for Anora, has helped to make Jennnifer Lawrence one of the most sartorially influential celebrities of our time, and even styled Jack Nicholson for SNL‘s recent 50th anniversary show.
