Inside Zoe Saldaña’s Winning Glam at The 2025 Golden Globes

Last night, actor Zoe Saldaña won a 2025 Golden Globe for her supporting role in Emilia Pérez. When she took the stage to accept the award, a coworker messaged “can we find out what hairspray Zoe used? Not a flyaway in sight.” Saldaña’s slicked-back bun, created by her longtime hairstylist Mara Roszak was a winning fête of its own.

“Hairspray wasn’t what got that super-sleek, fly-away free look,” Roszak revealed to Vogue just moments after Saldaña’s win. “It was actually a styling cream. We tamed those babies.” She’s referring to her brand Rōz’s Evergreen Style Cream, which just launched yesterday in tandem with the award ceremony.

When it came to inspiration, Roszak first started with the chocolate brown Saint Laurent dress and Cartier jewels, and decided only a “ultra-modern” look would do.

“Everything was about modernity when it came to the shape of the hair, starting with the middle part,” the hairstylist shares. “From there, we went really tight on the sides because it gives an edge but also really lifts the face. I created the knotted bun in a freeform style, just letting the hair do what it wanted and pinning as I went.”

It’s just a start of an exciting few months for Saldaña and Roszak, who will be working together for the rest of the season. “It’s been almost two decades of creating together,” the actor says. “We celebrate the artistry and have a ton of fun in the process.”
