The muse is a critical role in the fashion ecosystem: Hubert de Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn, Jean Paul Gaultier and Madonna, and Victoria Beckham and…herself.
It’s been a banner year for Beckham, whose spring 2025 collection was the most-viewed show of the entire season on Vogue Runway by a mile. Not only were we glued to her clothing on the catwalk, she was also all over the red carpet, with the likes of Daisy-Edgar Jones, Phoebe Dynevor, Meghann Fahy, Zoe Saldaña, and Rosie Huntinton-Whiteley dressing in her image.
But this year, Beckham reminded us that she is her own best customer and biggest inspiration. (After all, how many brands get started because the founders want to round out their own closets? Hello, The Row!) No matter the occasion this year, Beckham had the perfect outfit at the ready. For her 50th birthday party in April, despite an injured foot, she refused to sacrifice her style—arriving on crutches in a diaphanous ruched seafoam green dress. (Her dutiful husband David Beckham carried her piggyback out of the party.) Meanwhile, for the United Kingdom’s state dinner with Qatar, she wore a modest black floor-length number with long sleeves, a high neck, and—yes—ruching.
Even for the day-to-day events, Beckham turned to her own designs. She proved especially fond of a suit with oversized shoulders, a wide leg, and cinched waist from her resort 2025 collection—wearing it in multiple colors.
Below, see how Victoria Beckham enjoyed the fruits of her own labor this year.
