Here are 10 Plus Size Fashion Photographers to Know!

Don’t you just love when high-fashion photos pop up on your Instagram feed, dripping with style, confidence, and pure artistic magic? SAME! But let’s be real—sometimes, scrolling through fashion photography can feel like a game of “Where’s Waldo?” when it comes to body diversity. The industry has long been dominated by a singular beauty standard, but luckily, there are trailblazing photographers changing the game—one stunning image at a time.

Enter the plus size fashion photographers you need to know. These talented creatives are capturing plus bodies in all their glory, serving up editorials, campaigns, and portraits that celebrate curves rather than crop them out. While legends like Substantia Jones, Stanley Debas, Luke Jones, Rick Jones, and Velvet D’Amour have paved the way, a new generation of visionaries is stepping up, lens in hand, to shift the narrative.

Why Plus Size Fashion Photographers Matter

Photography isn’t just about taking a pretty picture—it’s storytelling, representation, and visibility. For far too long, plus size fashion has been an afterthought in mainstream editorials, leaving little room for authentic, stylish, and empowered portrayals of plus bodies. But these plus size fashion photographers are flipping the script.

By consistently showcasing plus models, these artists are not only redefining beauty standards but also proving that plus size fashion belongs in the high-fashion space, on magazine covers, and in major campaigns. They create a world where plus size people can see themselves looking glamorous, edgy, powerful, and everything in between.

And let’s be honest—when you see a stunning, well-lit, editorial-style image of a plus size model rocking a designer look, doesn’t it make you want to step up your style game too? Representation fuels confidence, and these plus size fashion photographers are at the forefront of making that happen.

And myself, Chromat, and the team at Berlin Cameron wanted to create imagery that would change that narrative. Let’s reclaim the pool, and let’s all look hot while we do it. No food shaming, no body policing, and intolerance will NOT be tolerated.”
