Filippa K’s Anna Teurnell decided to present the Swedish brand’s pre-fall collection in Copenhagen during Fashion Week. The event was held in-store, with models wearing the clothes. People on the street could watch the goings-on and the mood was as upbeat as the cheery red on a nicely shaped coat. In reimagining this ’90s label, Teurnell has been digging into the brand’s values. The designer said she’s focusing on function, materials, and the idea of “wanting to look good without shouting too loud”—which is a good summation of Scandi style. The collection, with its focus on suiting, neutral tones, and soft textures, from corduroy to shearling, was in sync with others shown here all through the week.
