CALLING ALL CREATIVES
Condé Nast, in partnership with the Educational Alliance Edgies Teen Center is once again accepting applications for the CondéFuture program. This first-of-its-kind program will accept (12) NYC students who are interested in learning about careers within the media industry. The program will take place over two academic calendar years (October 2025 – June 2027) including summer engagement opportunities and the chance to travel to Los Angeles!
Condé Nast is a global media company, home to iconic brands including Vogue, The New Yorker, GQ, Glamour, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair and Wired, among many others. Students will have the opportunity to meet and learn from professionals in every sector of the industry while completing creative projects that ignite their passion and help jumpstart their career or studies in media, photography, video, social media, fashion, design, and more.
PROGRAM GOALS
- Discover and cultivate tomorrow’s multimedia talents.
- Create opportunities for students from underrepresented communities to learn from and be mentored by Condé Nast talent, ultimately providing our participants with further access to industry professionals, potential internship and job opportunities.
- In partnership with community-based organizations, support high school students as they prepare for college and career advancement.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHO IS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE?
The program is open to rising public high school juniors (currently in 10th grade) with an interest in arts, media, design or journalism in the New York City area.
WILL STUDENTS BE PAID FOR PARTICIPATING?
Participants will receive a stipend every four months during the two year program.
DO STUDENTS HAVE TO COMMIT TO THE FULL TWO YEARS?
Yes. All participating students must commit to the full two years. Students must maintain an 85% attendance rate in order to qualify for the full stipend.
WHEN WILL THE PROGRAM TAKE PLACE?
The program will meet weekly on Wednesday from October to the end of June each year, primarily at the Condé Nast offices at One World Trade Center. There will also be summer opportunities between year one and two.
WHAT WILL THE TIME COMMITMENT LOOK LIKE?
Students should plan to spend approximately 5-8 hours per week on CondéFuture related meetings, opportunities, or project completion. Programming follows the NYC DOE calendar for all breaks, but may require missing school for optional special events and opportunities.
HOW WILL PARTICIPANTS BE SELECTED?
12 participants will be chosen based on their responses to the initial application and semi-finalists will complete a creative submission and interview. A Jury composed of Condé Nast staff will score the semifinalist application responses and creative submissions, and CondéFuture staff will make final decisions by early September.
