Benito Skinner—the comedian and actor also known as Benny Drama—won’t let a little jet lag keep him down on the day of the Dior Men fall 2025 show. “I’m jet lagged at the moment, so this day started at 4 a.m. when I woke up and took down a box of chocolate biscuits,” he says. “I ate them in the dark :(.” Skinner was able to recover with breakfast at Carette and a stroll through the recently reopened Notre Dame Cathedral. Consider it the perfect start to an ideal morning. “I always love to take a walk, do some microcurrent or red light therapy on my face, and then drink coffee until I’m slightly sick,” he says.
When it came to choosing his own look for the show, Skinner wanted to channel his inner Cary Grant. But in his everyday style, the comedian is all about striking a balance: Americana with whimsy, streetwear with formalwear. The mens show spoke to his sensibilities. “Kim’s blend of masculine pieces with the feminine DNA and silhouettes of Christian Dior is…my heaven,” he says. “And the play of sneakers with suits (especially bows) in this collection is exactly why I love his work at Dior. King!”
Dior show aside, a perfect day in Paris is fairly simple for Skinner. “I’m the youngest child in my family so I truly will go anywhere someone tells me,” he says. “[I] LOVE a long dinner in Paris with at least six beverages (sparkling water into cocktails into Coke Zero into coffee…I’m getting chills writing this!). And maybe an afternoon in a museum before LA wakes up and starts emailing? That can be a really scary time of day.”
While Skinner’s boyfriend Terrence O’Connor joined him in Paris, he one day hopes to return to the City of Light with O’Connor’s mother, who regularly features in sketches about their adversarial relationship. “Ok I SWEAR she’s the love of my life when I’m not making her be in a sketch, so I’d give her a break from my reign of terror,” he says. Luckily, he already has the agenda set. “The first thing we’re doing is buying scarves together. Doesn’t that sound nice? And we love splitting espresso martinis and gossiping so we would probably do that too. I can imagine her whipping her fresh bob around Paris…she could run this town!”
