Welcome back to Beauty Marks: the weekly edition of Vogue’s favorite moments in celebrity beauty and the glam of the fashion and pop culture landscapes. Each week, we select the most nail art that deserves hanging in the Louvre, celebrity hair transformations, and red carpet glam. It’s as much about celebrity beauty as it is about the makeup artists, hairstylists, and nail artists, as well as the creators crafting the trends you’ll be adding to your Pinterest board.
While last week we were still basking in the afterglow of Coachella and watching everyone from Daisy Edgar-Jones to Sarah Catherine Hook play with the beauty aesthetics and trends du jour, this week, it’s all about the little things. Details! Details! Check out Blake Likely’s glinting gold leaf manicure, and Doechii’s Barbie doll glam that makeup artist Chelsea nails with the sweep of some expert blush. Then, there’s Nara Smith’s baby(doll) bangs, and Iris Law’s teeny tiny plaits (a small departure from her head of state position in team pixie). The Last of Us’s Isabela Merced delicate treads into the boho beautysphere, while Vogue favorite hairstylist Evanie Frausto brings their signature stamp to a shoot for Vogue Mexico, revelling in hair gels, acidic color palettes, and choppy cuts. Sophie Sinot, meanwhile, gives Amina Muaddi an icy makeover with the coolest sweep of blue shadow—a tone we’re sure we’ll continue to see all summer long, even as the temperatures begin to creep up. Speaking of summer glows Ngozi Edeme (aka @paintedbyesther) does the business with Abény Nhial and some expert blush and highlight placement—take notes!
