Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Mourn the Wicked in Funereal Fashions

Quoth “No One Mourns the Wicked,” the opening song from Wicked: “No one mourns the wicked.” But Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo beg to differ, as evidenced by their recent looks at CinemaCon 2025, where they dropped by to debut the trailer for Wicked: For Good. The dynamic duo ditched their go-to pink and green for some fabulous funereal looks, mourning the impending end of the Ozian franchise.

Styled by Jason Bolden, Erivo pulled a look from Alaïa’s spring 2025 collection at the Guggenheim. She wore a sheer black hooded top and a pair of sheer pants with a ruffled miniskirt overlay. She added gold jewelry—including chunky bracelets and a pair of hoop earrings connected by a handful of fine chains. Unlike the heeled thong sandals on the runway, Erivo opted instead for a pair of teetering black pumps.

Grande, for her part, chose a black strapless dress for her stopover in Las Vegas. Styled by Mimi Cuttrell, she wore an Emporio Armani dress with a velvet drop-waist corset and a voluminous skirt with alternating black and sheer panels. She accessorized with a choker marked by dangling diamonds and, like Erivo, a pair of black pumps.
