For hair, Roszak channeled ’80s-ballerina glam with a sleek, high-shine updo. To get that “wet hair” finish, she prepped with the RŌZ Milk Hair Serum before working in the RŌZ Willow Glen Treatment Oil. Then she parted Saldaña‘s hair horizontally into a top and bottom section. Working with the bottom section first, she pulled strands into a tight ponytail, securing with an elastic band. She finished by pulling the remaining hair to meet the ponytail, securing them together, and wrapping it all into a ballerina-like bun, but with a modern tight twist.
Steimberg says that the vibes behind the scenes are always fun and collaborative. “I love her as a human being and that makes my work so much easier,” she reflects. “I also feel that working with her has helped me grow as an artist.”
When it comes to preparing herself mentally for award show nights, Saldaña tends to focus on meditating and setting intentions. She also looks to certain keepsakes to keep her grounded during hectic times like these. “My boys’ Legos, I keep them in my purse,” she says. “Whenever I miss them, which is often when I am away from them, I look inside my bag and see their little toys and it brings me comfort.”
Effortlessly chic, Sunday’s look marked another memorable beauty moment for Saldaña this awards season.
