A.L.C. Fall 2025 Ready-to-Wear Collection

This season, Andrea Lieberman turned back the clock to the 1970s. It’s a brief that, in the wrong hands, might’ve yielded psychedelic Pucci-esque prints or cartoonishly wide bell bottoms, but Lieberman managed to ever so slightly tinge A.L.C.’s fall 2025 collection with the spirit of a bygone era. Slim tailoring and a color palette of plum, pickle, and brown all hinted at the influence without hitting the customer over the head. “I hate to say the word retro, so I’m not going to,” Lieberman said. “But it’s a touch of modern nostalgia.”

While spring 2025 saw the launch of denim for A.L.C., Lieberman is continuing to expand the brand’s offerings. Beginning in fall, she will offer her “system of dressing”—a capsule wardrobe including denim, blazers, leather jackets, trench coats, cashmere sweaters, drape-neck tops, and tees—year-round. “It’s all based on classic, iconic pieces. I’ve been working to refine the fabrics and the fits,” she said, adding that she solicited feedback from customers in her store.

As ever, Lieberman is at her best when she elevates wardrobe staples. Some pieces—a faux-fur purse and a gray, lace-trimmed skirt set—seemed out of place. But her outerwear was particularly strong, especially the lightweight bottle green nappa leather jacket and olive oilcloth jacket with a leather collar. Perhaps the piece that best underscored the A.L.C. ethos was a rich brown cropped jacket and matching midi skirt. “It’s a really great way to be polished where you don’t always want to wear a blazer,” Lieberman said. “It’s a modern lens on tailoring. It’s a little less serious.”
