What to Consider While Shopping Plus Size Thrift Shops
- Don’t get hung up on the size tag. Vintage and even modern sizing can vary wildly. Focus on how the garment fits your body, not the number on the label. Be prepared to try things on in different sizes than you normally wear.
- Explore all sections. Don’t limit yourself to just the “women’s plus-size” section (if one exists). You might find amazing oversized pieces in the men’s section, or stylish items in straight sizes that fit differently than expected due to cut or fabric.
