Pre-Coachella, Justin Bieber Reminds Us He’s His Own Biggest Fan

The Biebers are getting Coachella ready. In the last few days, Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber have been spotted all around Palm Springs as the celebrity set begins to descend on Coachella Valley for the annual music festival. This year, it’s headlined by Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott.

Of course, Hailey is going to have a host of outfits planned for Coachella weekend one. What has husband Justin packed for the desert? His own merch.

Yesterday (April 10), the Biebers were photographed grabbing breakfast in Palm Springs with pals. The outing was kept pretty casual—Hailey wore denim cut off shorts, a mint green hoodie, a gray hat, and puffy gray clogs with white ankle socks. Justin, meanwhile, wore long gray sweatpant culottes, a black cap, and blue clogs with socks, topped off with his own merch from 2012 to promote his third studio album Believe. The t-shirt features a teenage Bieber’s face from the original album art.

It’s not the first time Bieber has sported his own album era wares. Across the years, he’s been known to don an era-appropriate hoodie or t-shirt, from the original My Worlds era—remember the Beats headphone collab, JustBeats? Often, the purple accessory was seen slung around his neck—to Believe, Purpose, Changes, and Justice. For a time, too, he had a particular penchant for his Purpose tour shorts in 2016.

How Coachella fashion is going to go down this year could go two ways: We could get a continuation of last year’s more low-key looks, or a return to the golden age of Coachella fest maximalism, all fringe, studs, and big statement necklaces. The Biebers will likely stick to the more discreet. And while he’s not on the line-up, it’s still always the Justin Bieber show.
