Saturday Night Live is marking a major milestone: This weekend, the iconic sketch comedy show from creator Lorne Michaels is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a slew of events in New York City. Kicking things off? SNL50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall on Friday evening.
Naturally, the red carpet for the homecoming concert was a star-studded affair. Given SNL has welcomed hundreds of A-list hosts and musical guests over the years (it’s hard to think of a big star who hasn’t made a cameo on the show), it was only fitting that many celebrities joined the fun. Among those who walked the step and repeat on Friday were Miley Cyrus, Chris Pine, Christine Baranski—each one of them bringing some good, old-fashioned glitz and glamour to the party.
And the festivities are only just getting started. The show is also airing a live anniversary special on Sunday night—with a star-studded party and red carpet to go along with it—meaning there are plenty more celebrity sightings to come.
