As a Gen Z’er, Kate Barton knows exactly how her generation consumes content. That’s why instead of opting for a runway show, she used her network of friends including Winnie Harlow, Kysre Gondrezick, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger and others to model her fall 2025 collection and post their lookbook shots on Instagram starting this morning. “This season the collection was all about showing real women and being able to show it all through social media,” Barton explained.
It made sense because Barton herself makes clothes for the Instagram woman. Loyal followers of her brand include the “Summer House” reality cast, like Paige DeSorbo and Amanda Batula, who want to get a “wow moment” for their pages. But while it’s her chrome pieces that get her the attention from these social media stars, Barton also understands that it’s the basics that will sell and keep her business growing. New this season included dialed down and simpler pieces from including a button-up, a gray sweater, and even jeans. To give them the Barton touch, you could still accessorize these simple additions with one of her chrome hook magnets. “I want to wear my clothes and I want other women my age to wear them. That means I need to keep it at an accessible price point,” said Barton. Expect handbags and going out dresses to come at similar prices as high street luxury brands like Reformation.
