Ariana Grande was once again crowned the Witch of the West (Coast) yesterday when she hit the Santa Barbara International Film Festival dressed in—you guessed it—full Glinda attire.
The Wicked star joined the likes of Selena Gomez, Mikey Madison, and Monica Barbaro for the festival’s Virtuosos Award. Grande looked the portrait of a good witch in a pink Giorgio Armani dress. The spaghetti strap gown was festooned with floral appliqués that trailed down her full ball skirt. Beyond the 3D flowers, the dress was embellished to the nth degree, from the pink rhinestoned straps to the polka-dot netted overlay floating atop the striped skirt.

The custom Armani dress joins a long list of Grande’s Glinda-approved custom looks. She hosted SNL in a vintage magenta Thierry Mugler tulip dress from fall 1982, and attended the Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris wearing a ladylike Thom Browne tea-length dress with a drop waist. (And that’s nothing to say of the custom Bode, Louis Vuitton, and Balenciaga she’s donned throughout her press tour.)
But Grande has also departed from the Good Witch. For a brief period on the awards circuit, she adopted an homage to Audrey Hepburn in vintage Givenchy from 1966—and baby bangs to boot—at the 2025 Golden Globes. And at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards last week, she ditched vintage for fresh-off-the-runway Dior couture. But now as the Oscars approach, it seems Ariana Grande is fully switched back into Glinda mode.
