Okay so when I was referencing doing my style posts differently I do mean something like this but…next time with a better focused camera. You would not believe I worked so hard and then when I got them off the camera I realized they were…blurry. Bryan has been the photographer around here for the last 15 years, so give me a few grace period posts to figure out a freaking camera and her timer.
I am trying to get dressed all January…starting yesterday! Gave myself a good two weeks off for good behavior. I don’t really have any rules other than get dressed and document it. I didn’t go into my ‘black leggings seasonal depression’ this year so those are back in rotation if needed. This outfit is from yesterday, and let me tell you — the Sezane cardigan was crying out to be worn. I paired it with this pair of wide leg trousers from J.Crew. (This is the mid-to-low even though I don’t think they’re that low rise from J.Crew.) I really like them, as the fit is easy and flattering. I do think they run a bit generous, I’m in the 30 and I do think I need the 29s now. I’m still on the fence with wide leg pants — I just don’t find them quite as flattering as I prefer.
This cardigan is one of two surviving pieces from Sezane that I still own. I bought a few pieces from Sezane in 2023 and I liked them but some ended up in the pre-loved shop (dropping next week!) This sweater has been featured in a capsule — actually my last one before the full mental breakdown of ’24. (I’ve linked it so you can see a few more outfit ideas as well!) I really like Sezane but it is at a price point that I have to be super intentional about. (I want like everything from there right now, by the way.) I like this cardigan because I can wear it all day and don’t find it super itchy. It does run oversized / long, but I don’t mind the length. I’m in the medium, fits like a large. Find it here!
I know that Sezane isn’t the most budget friendly for all so I found a few similar looks to this sweater I’m wearing. I found some options from Madewell, J.Crew and Quince as well as Gap and Target options too!
