Yesterday, I shared my radical new way to approach personal style for 2025 — and I say that with a goofy winky face, because there’s nothing radical about it. 😉
It goes like this:
Like what you like and let that be your personal style.
But sometimes the advice to “like what you like” can feel limiting. You may be thinking, “Well I LIKE yoga pants, but I really do want to wear more than that!”
So let’s add this little astrisck:
Be open to expanding what you like, slowly, over time.
Liking what you like doesn’t mean stopping there. Instead, it can be an invitation to try new things without expectation.
Trying on is key here. For the longest time I wrote off the things like cargo pants and mini skirts because I didn’t like the idea of them — but then once I had them on, I ended up loving them. You never know when something might surprise you.
Speaking of cargo pants, I found some amazing alternatives to these cargo pants by the way — all fully in stock and most of them on sale. Check out the Gap Cargo Pants (on sale, under $27), the Anthropologie Sanctuary Cargo Pants, and the Lululemon Elastic Waist Cargo Pants (on sale, under $70).
Okay, so tell me, have you discovered something new to like lately? Did it surprise you? I’d love to hear about it!
