When it comes to celebrity weddings, 2024 was a busy year: from January to December, everyone from Charlie Puth, to Karen Elson, to Alex Cooper shared their nuptials with Vogue. And the internet? They couldn’t get enough.
Their starry status was the initial draw, sure. But there were plenty of standout fashion moments too—Elson, for example, wore a custom beaded tulle Valentino gown by Alessandro Michele with blue accents. (“We talked about having a pop of color—would it be a green or a yellow?” she said. “And actually, I was like: ‘It should be a pop of blue somewhere,’ for the traditional ‘something borrowed, something blue.’”) Olivia Culpo, meanwhile, wore three different dresses by Dolce & Gabbana.
Danielle Frankel was a favorite among the famous: Call Her Daddy’s Alex Cooper wore a drop-waist dress by the designer—“The minute I tried it on I knew we had found what I was looking for”—as did Puth’s wife Brooke Sansone. “I wanted a designer who brought a fashion-forward, unconventional edge to bridal wear, and Danielle was the perfect fit,” she said.
And those are just the brides: 13 Reasons Why’s Brandon Flynn and playwright Jordan Tannahill walked down their New York City aisle in looks by Ludovic de Saint Sernin that were inspired by Robert Mapplethorpe’s famed “Flower” series.
