On the Podcast: Vogue Editors Discuss the Best Moments of Fashion in the 2000s

By now, December is synonymous with roundups and listicles of the most memorable moments of the year. But as 2024 wraps up, here at Vogue Runway we thought a look back at the first quarter century of fashion was also in order, especially because in the last 25 years our industry shifted at an unprecedented pace. Vogue’s fashion features director Mark Holgate and senior archive editor Laird Borrelli-Persson join Nicole Phelps to guide us through these changes, beginning with the birth of Style.com in the year 2000. For Holgate and Borrelli-Persson, the occasion also marks their 25th anniversary working at Vogue and Condé Nast, respectively, turning their conversation into a walk down memory lane. Listen below to hear them discuss their favorite designers and shows. (Spoiler alert: Neither is over Helmut Lang leaving fashion to become an artist—and who can blame them!)
