I can’t believe I’m already starting to think about my 2025 closet, but here we are. (Is it just me, or did 2024 go by incredibly fast?) This year, I’m looking to Madewell, COS, and J.Crew for simple yet chic wardrobe staples—items that can easily move between spur-of-the-moment dinners with friends, Zoom calls, and what do you know, preschool tours. I started with broad ideas like clean lines, dark neutrals, well-tailored jeans, and outerwear. As I spent more time with my Pinterest wish list, I got more specific, narrowing down exactly what will fill some holes in my closet as well as some pieces that will bring new life and a bit of joy.
Sporty-inspired outerwear is a must—I spied a fantastic chocolate-brown funnel-neck jacket on COS’s site that’s sure to sell out. Gray has been an under-the-radar color trend that’s just now seeping into my consciousness, which means I must have J.Crew’s light-slate, almost-luminescent pleated miniskirt. I’ve also been on the hunt for leopard-print accents and a new bag, all of which I’m sharing with you just below.
Madewell
Cotton-Blend Cardigan
The fabric buttons add such a special touch. Not to mention that pale pink is set to be the It color next year.
Madewell
The April Ballet Flat
I have no idea how I was sleeping on Madewell’s ballet flats for so long—these are really good!
J.Crew
Wrap Trench Coat in Italian Double-Faced Wool Blend
I adore this coat and the way it’s styled here.
Madewell
Studded Western Belt
The belt that will both tie your outfit together and add that somethin’ somethin’.
Madewell
Oversized Long-Sleeve Crewneck Tee
I’m lacking long-sleeve T-shirts, and I really like the loose fit of this one.
Madewell x Agmes
Lennox Bag
I was unfamiliar with Agmes before this collaboration, but it’s definitely on my radar now.
J.Crew
Cotton Poplin Pajama Pant
I’ve neglected to get new pajamas for far too long and keep coming back to this tab on my computer.
