If you’re raising an eyebrow at the open toe shoes and bare legs in December, just know that I live in Texas and yesterday was 70°F. On a colder day (we do have those too) I’d swap the heels for a tall, heeled boot like this and put on a long black wrap coat to keep me warm.
But overall, I think this is going to be my go-to fancy holiday outfit — humungous cozy sweater, tiny satin skirt.
I’ve had all of these pieces in my closet for a long time now, but I’ve never put them together in this way before. Don’t you love it when you discover a new combo with pieces you already own? I’m always here for a fancy outfit that doesn’t require me to shimmy into a bodycon dress. If my insides can’t relax, I’m not going to relax either. Which means I’m not going to have fun. NO THX. Big sweater on top means I can let everything just relaaaaax.
