Sharon Stone is our forever muse. From speaking out about medical gaslighting to celebrating life in her birthday suit, she isn’t afraid to live authentically. This weekend, the actor added something new to the list: Skipping the tradition of heavy makeup on the red carpet.
Call it the Pamela Anderson effect, but 66-year-old Stone followed Anderson’s recent preference and appeared fresh-faced at the Governors Awards red carpet. The most notable hint of makeup was the actor’s bronzy eyeliner and a touch of mascara, perfect to make her baby blue eyes pop.
From there, a fresh, dewy base was applied across her skin with the goal of evening things up, not to conceal. Meredith Baraf, makeup artist for Brooke Shields, says to look for something that “melts into the skin and doesn’t tend to creep into fine lines and wrinkles or accentuate pores.” She likes Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation.
The look was complete with a swipe of pearly peach lipstick. Neither overly glossy nor matte (matte anything can be tough because it can sit in any wrinkles or dry patches on the skin), this satin shade just added to her overall glow. Shine on.
