Book a styling session with me. 🙂
Remember a couple posts back, when I shared about Allison Bornstein’s “Change One Thing” method? Essentially it goes like this: if you’re feeling stuck when getting dressed, put on what you wore yesterday, but change one thing.
It’s how I got dressed today, and I’m very into this method. It feels easy and calming.
And…I’m feeling like this is a valuable mindset, not just for clothes, but for other areas of my life.
It reminds me that subtle changes in my life are still changes nonetheless. Sometimes I can get so all-or-nothing, you know? But the changes I make don’t have to be so extreme. In fact, aren’t the small changes the ones that are more likely to last?
Plus, here’s what’s fascinating to me: Once I change one small thing, it feels infinitely easier to change another thing. So it kicks off a chain of little changes — but it didn’t feel like a heavy lift, because I started from a pressure-free place.
Anyway, I hope you take a moment today to appreciate the changes you’ve been making, no matter how small they may seem.
(And, on a different note — socks peeking over boots! How cute is this? I’ve now decided I want to do this all the time!)
